Open Forum

I am a peer specialist at Pathways to Housing.  While I’ve worked as a volunteer at peer agencies, I am new to being a peer professional.  However, getting this job at Pathways was no accident.  I have for a while, worked to develop expertise on the subject of peer support.  As I said I have done volunteer peer support, but I have also written a great deal on the subject of mental illness and recovery.  With two mental health blogs under my belt, I’ve published over 100,000 words.  Naturally, I bring this experience to Pathways, and thus the idea of having a blog for Pathways was a no brainer.

This blog is intended to be an open forum, for Pathways clients as well as employees.  I’ll hope that we can all contribute to this project.  I’ll hope it becomes a valuable tool for all.  I welcome any and all work to be published here, from poems to essays.  If you are a Pathways client and wish to contribute, please contact your services coordinator, and have them refer you to me.  You may submit any piece of writing to me by email.  I’ll be sure to post it expeditiously.  Thanks.
